QinetiQ US is looking to hire a Systems Engineering Manager to lead the Systems Engineering Team in delivering DOD programs spanning ISR, Maritime, Robotics, and Counter-UAS business portfolios at our Waltham, MA facility. The Systems Engineering (SE) Manager will lead engineering teams in a fast paced environment, designing, testing, integrating, and delivering the next generation of UxV and ISR image-based sensing systems for the U.S. Military.
The SE Manager will lead a small to mid-sized team consisting of experienced professionals focused on implementation of strategic initiatives and execution of day-to-day deliverables in a multidisciplinary environment exercising latitude and independence in their assignments. In addition, this person is responsible for working with Program Managers and other engineering discipline leads to properly staff projects based upon project requirements and projected staffing needs.
The SE manager will develop and train others in execution of the profession of System Engineering, explaining relevant policies, practices, and procedures. Giving attention to continuous improvement of processes, systems, or products, the SE Manager will be the final Engineering authority on SE processes and practices within QinetiQ US.
The SE Manager will also be able to contribute as-required in engineering work, performing a range of systems engineering functions, including requirements management, verification and validation (V&V), and test development. Knowledge and experience in systems engineering is also desired in the following areas: mission requirements analysis, system hierarchy and specification tree development, functional analysis, systems integration, requirements flowdown and allocation, trade studies, system synthesis, configuration definition and management, risk analysis, and hazard analysis.
