Position Overview

QinetiQ US seeks an experienced Deputy Program Manager to support a large program. Excellent judgment and communication skills are required. The ideal candidate thrives in building and leading in a collaborative team environment delivering innovative solutions to meet mission goals. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Manager with all aspects of sub-contractor and supplier programs to ensure compliance with requirements, schedules, and budgets.
  • Lead the Program Risk and Opportunity Management Process.
  • Assist the Program Manager with administrative documentation for subcontractor execution, procurement, finance, etc. such as weekly status reports (WARs), contractor deliverables reporting (CDRLs), program management review presentations (PMRs), and other program status updates and highlights.
  • Assist the Program Manager in providing input for financial and technical briefings on program/contract status to senior level management via Program Management Reviews (PMRs).
  • Assists in the coordination and logistics of both Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) in support of mission-related activities.
  • Coordinate and attend interchange meetings with the customer and subcontractor(s), record actions and provide a status update to the Program Manager.
  • Assist Program Manager with business development opportunities.
  • Support company sales, profit, and growth objectives.

Required Qualifications

    •  
    • B.S in business, technical, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience with 8+ years of experience or 8+ years of related experience with federal customers in a program, operations, or technical leadership role.
    • Organizational skills, a detail-oriented workstyle, and the ability to communicate highly technical and complex topics to customers, senior leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.
    • Strong customer management skills - must be able to assist the Program Manager with managing complex programs with milestone performance objectives and budgets.
    • Estimating – must be capable of working with subject matter experts to develop estimates for duration and cost.
    • Familiarity with federal acquisition regulatory process.
    • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

    Security Requirements

    • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate federal security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DoD customers
  • Experience with FMS/DCS Programs
  • Master’s degree in related field
  • PMP certified.
  • Experience developing and leading collaborative team environments.
  • Experience deploying comprehensive risk management systems and best practices.
