Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Training Specialist to create and manage training across the organization, with a focus on Operations and our program management community. You will help identify training needs that enhance workforce efficiency and operational fluidity; work with SMEs and vendors to create, procure, and deliver content; manage training through our LMS; measure results and impact; and coordinate and manage content for company compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing structured training programs, managing learning projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, and support the development of our program managers.

 

You must have a thorough understanding of instructional design methodologies, Bloom’s Taxonomy, the Kirkpatrick Model, and other foundational training competencies. You must be able to teach, facilitate, and post/manage course content in an LMS.

Responsibilities

  • Assess training needs and align programs with organizational objectives; coordinate with vendors as required
  • Work with SMEs to create organic content for program management training
  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate training programs focused on operational processes, compliance, and performance improvement
  • Develop and track program effectiveness through metrics (e.g., completion rates, performance impact, ROI)
  • Maintain and enhance the LMS (currently Cornerstone)
  • Update training content based on feedback, process changes, or industry trends

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in education, training, or related field; or, relevant certifications
  • 7 + years’ experience directly related to training and development
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to plan, multitask, and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a training Lead; understand SAM, ADDIE, etc.
  • Experience leveraging Kirkpatrick’s Model to measure learning effectiveness
  • Experience working with Articulate 360, MS Office, and managing an LMS
  • Familiarity with program management standards a plus
