Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking a DoD Travel Administrator to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD) Policy Travel Office onsite at the Pentagon (2 days a week)

 

The successful candidate will be able to work in a high pace environment, deliver quality products and address multiple requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide travel administration support for the Defense Travel System (DTS), including directing users through document processing and providing troubleshooting assistance.
  • Provide training for DTS users and operators,
  • Serve as first level review for DTS transactions, including authorizations, vouchers, and local vouchers
  • Enroll new users in DTS, local databases and register profiles, in accordance with policies and procedures, and ensure all users re aware of processing procedures and requirements.
  • Provide guidance regarding business rules and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) compliance issues.
  • Provide DTS expertise to staff including troubleshooting travel issues and reviewing travel authorizations and vouchers.
  • Conduct audits of user DTS accounts.
  • Coordinate travel requirements for local, CONUS, and international destinations.
  • Support changes to travel and assist in required pre-travel clearance and approvals in a timely manner.
  • Advise and assist customers in managing Government Travel Charge Card accounts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s degree plus four (4) years additional work experience.
  • TS clearance required with SCI eligibility; #qinetiqclearedjob
  • Minimum three (3) years of in-depth DTS experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP).
  • Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication skills to effectively interface with senior military/civilian officials, managers, and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with processing passports and visas, and special area clearances
