Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to support a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract with the U.S. Army, focusing on Persistent Surveillance, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Aerostat systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assigned as an Integrated Logistics Manager supporting the planning, development, and management of logistics and sustainment analyses and products. 
  • Develops and administers integrated logistics strategies, including supply chain activities from point of manufacture through information management support, deployment freight, warehousing, customer freight, order management, customer warehousing, customer store shipment, and customer placement.  
  • Supports logistics planning including the identification of logistics resources and capabilities, and organizational logistics needs.  
  • Develops logistics plans and alternatives for logistics support.  
  • Executes a continuous improvement methodology of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions.  
  • Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve quality of services delivered. 
  • Ensures full customer satisfaction through on time delivery of all ILS products.  
  • Develop and propose Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) program strategies and concepts design criteria to various internal and external leaders, technical, programmatic and product development teams.  
  • Develops pro-active approaches to sustain continuous process improvement in existing processes and provide briefings to internal and external leadership representatives.  
  • Interact directly with and advise internal and Government senior leadership representatives to resolve supportability issues.  
  • Collaborates seamlessly with teammates and counterparts across TARS (horizontal integration) in support of business and program objectives.   

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in logistical support of procurement and delivery of commercial, non-commercial, hardware and software materials to support the development of government systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in functional tasks either on an aerostat system or a related industry/military equivalent
  • Experienced using government supported procurement and shipping systems for the acquisition and delivery of government technology systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analysis skills.
  • Experience acquiring and maintaining both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) software and hardware components.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or an associate’s degree, plus two years of formal technical training (via military or civilian technical schools) is required.
  • SECRET or higher security clearance
