Far Ridgeline Engagements, a QinetiQ US company, is seeking a mid-level Data Engineer to work with internet protocol (IP)-based operational communications supporting a US Government Client in Reston, VA.
• Perform various duties and tasks associated with IP-based services
• Provide direct support to ensure uninterrupted, continuous operational communications systems functionality and security
• Current TS/SCI Clearance with current (in-scope) CI poly or ability to obtain poly prior to start date #qinetiqclearedjob
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related STEM degree program; or 4 years equivalent experience as a Cloud SysOps Engineer.
• Advanced knowledge of VoIP networking systems and virtual PBX systems such as Open PBX or Astrid Server.
• Experience with SIP and Mobile Voice Network infrastructure.
• Experience troubleshooting Cloud Virtual Private Networks (VPCs) with internal and external IP routing.
• Knowledge if updating automation and configuration scripts in Python, JSON, and Terraform.
• Experience with troubleshooting Virtual Desktops and file servers for storage and connectivity issues.
• Current (in-scope) CI polygraph examination.
• Working knowledge of internet security protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
