IT Project Manager with developer experience

Data and Technology Group (DTG) is a diverse, project-oriented team delivering technology solutions to our Defense, Homeland, Law Enforcement, and Civilian agency clients. The DTG is Avantus' homebase for developers, data scientists, network engineers, system administrators, and other technologists, creating a dynamic, cross-project technical community that prioritizes continual learning, collaboration, and easy opportunities for project variety over time.

The DTG also ensures that our focus on delivering for current customers is balanced with initiatives that will help drive future growth - both in terms of new customers and new technologies and solutions. Responsible for overall project management, supervision of project team, deliverables, and resolution of significant reporting and project issues. Interpret policies, procedures, and goals. Manages development and execution of an overall governance policy and operating procedures. Monitors standards and responsible for delivery of contractual deliverables.

• Overall supervision and personnel management of ITS team (10 FTEs divided into a Systems Development Team, Administrative and Operational Support Team, and ITS SME / Project Management Team).
• Direct program (responsible) and individual project management (accountable) support.
• Responsible for monitoring standards, quality, and submission of all contractual deliverables.
• Responsible for providing briefings and presentations to all levels of the organization (direct team members to the executive director).
• Owns and administers all meetings and meeting communications between contract support team, prime, and the client.
• Manages development and execution of overall program governance, policies, and operating procedures.
• Oversee the development of software projects using Agile practices.
• Ensure that the team adheres to Agile principles and delivers high-quality products.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Communicate project goals, progress, and challenges in a clear, straight forward manner.
• Facilitate collaboration 

• Minimum 15 years program management experience, preferably in a PMO
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  PMI PMP Certification. 
• In-depth knowledge of Agile development frameworks and methodologies.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly with non-technical audiences/stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on strategic objectives.

• Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• 10 Years of Experience
• Agile Certifications
