Position Overview

We are recruiting for a Database Administrator who will support the critical functions for mission clients in the Intelligence Community. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implementing databases and database services (ex. Aurora) in the cloud (AWS, Azure)
  • Database engineering to include schema development, designing/implementing data ingestion procedures.
  • Lightweight data engineering like cleaning and conditioning data from data calls and existing external/stand-alone databases and loading into local and cloud databases.
  • SQL design and implementation as part of database creation, maintenance, and in response to ADHOC query needs for mission purposes (data export as an example)
  • Designing and building specialized tools utilizing the database to generate custom products that include document automation
  • Opportunities to contribute significantly to other data science tasks beyond database needs, dependent upon candidate interest and capabilities 

Required Qualifications

  • Database administration experience, including cloud based platforms
  • Working knowledge of data and ETL topics
  • Experience with Cloud DevOps (AWS, Azure)
  • Provide audience-appropriate written and verbal communications and demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Work with seniors in a diverse, fast-paced, multi-task environment and manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required #qinetiqclearedjob

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors with 4 or more years of relevant experience
