Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced skilled Logistics Supply Coordinator to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining site property inventory (GFE, TMDE, SPV, SPARES, CONSUMABLES, etc.) records and performing data base research and updates as applicable in accordance with policy and procedures to meet contract requirements. This supports the DHS Customs & Border Protection Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) program. The TARS program leverages aerostat systems to provide persistent surveillance and detection capabilities, to the U.S. Government customer across eight (8) different operational sites along the US Southern border in multiple locations including Puerto Rico, Florida, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

 

Responsibilities

  • Issue, Receive and Ship items as necessary to support TARS Operations and Maintenance effort following approved processes.
  • Track shipments to ensure delivery and verify proper documentation in DS7i is accomplished.
  • Processes purchase requisitions and purchase order receipts.
  • Review DS7i requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
  • Perform procurement activities using invoice process and assigned Company Purchasing Card (PCARD) following established guidelines.
  • Maintain, update, file, and retrieve purchase records.
  • Locate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and interview them to gather information about products to be ordered.
  • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best value among potential suppliers.
  • Contact vendors in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
  • Inspect shipments for damage and validate accuracy against purchase requisition and packing list to ensure goods meet specifications. Make appropriate database updates.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned area.
  • Collateral duties may require qualifications to support Launch and Recovery activities.
  • Follows up with shipments to insure proper documentation in DS7i is accomplished.
  • Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer process.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Will be responsible for operating Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, Banding Machine, Label Maker & Computer. PPE use (hardhat, gloves, safety boots, face shield), HazMat use- handling unopened bulk material.

Secondary Duties include:

  • Maintain and understand site documentation such as parts request forms, equipment condition tags, timecards, and flight data and maintenance logs.
  • Supports all security, logistics, and site-specific requirements as directed when not in conflict with primary responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • High scool diploma/GED and 1 years logistics experience
  • U.S. Citizenship; must be capable of obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance 
  • Must be experienced in basic purchasing/receiving procedures.
  • Certifications must be attained/maintained as assigned.
  • Candidate must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability  to perform shift work 
  • Work requires the ability to perform the following physical activies: walking, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, crawling, reaching, lifting, sitting, and squatting. Work may require walking, standing, sitting, and working in confined spaces or at high elevations for extended periods of time.
  • Weight lifting requirement of 60-80lbs and ability to climb.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Work requires the ability to perform the following physical activities: walking, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, crawling, reaching, lifting 25lbs, sitting, and squatting.
  • Work may require walking, standing, sitting and working in confined spaces or at high elevations for extended periods of time.
  • Warehouse, exterior and interior work environments, sometimes in inclement weather.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to work various work shifts as assigned.
