Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Developer who will be responsible for developing tools for cybersecurity, network security, and/or offensive cyber operations. 

Responsibilities

  • Development and Customization of software solutions that support cyber operations.
  • Secure coding practices.
  • Research and innovation of new technologies and programming techniques.
  • Testing and quality assurance.
  • Collaboration and team support.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required #qinetiqclearedjob
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in software development, with specific experience in developing tools for cybersecurity, network security, or offensive cyber operations.
  • Proven track record of developing secure and effective software solutions in high-security environments.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, and assembly languages.
  • Experience with low-level programming and an understanding of network protocols, cryptography, and system internals (Linux/Windows).
  • Strong analytical abilities are essential for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and developing innovative software solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary for documenting developments, collaborating with team members, and explaining complex software solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degrees or specialized training in cybersecurity or network security.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) or Certified Information. Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
