Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking an experienced Warehouse Logistician with specific experience in warehouse operations supporting aerostat systems providing persistent surveillance and detection capabilities to the U.S. Government customer across multiple operational sites in Rio Grande Valley, Texas along the US Southern border. 

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining warehouse property inventory and performing data base research and updates as applicable in accordance with policy and procedures to meet contract requirements. Travel obligations are on an as-required basis. Individuals should have experience and expertise in one of the following areas and associated job requirement areas:  

 

Responsibilities

  • Issue, Receive and Ship items as necessary to support aerostat Operations and Maintenance effort following approved processes.
  • Performs aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization).
  • Track shipments to ensure delivery and verify proper documentation is accomplished.
  • Proficiency in MRP and Logistics Assets Management Systems
  • Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
  • Inspect shipments for damage and validate accuracy against purchase requisition and packing list to ensure goods meet specifications. Make appropriate database updates.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned area.
  • Follows up with shipments to ensure proper documentation in is accomplished.
  • Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer process.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Will be responsible for operating Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, Banding Machine, Label Maker & Computer. PPE use (hardhat, gloves, safety boots, face shield), HazMat use- handling unopened bulk material.

 

Secondary Duties include:

  • Maintain and understand warehouse documentation such as parts request forms, equipment condition tags, timecards, and flight data and maintenance logs.
  • Supports all security, logistics, and site-specific requirements as directed when not in conflict with primary responsibilities.
  • Infor or HxGN EAMs experience.
  • Microsoft Office abilities.
  • Demonstrated problem resolution and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Inventory Control/Warehousing/ Logistics processes.
  • Documented ability to work as a team player.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED and 2+ years logistics experience
  • Successfully completed Background Investigation with a Favorable Suitability Determination, and issuance of DHS Suitability determination.  
  • Must be able to obtain forklift driver certification.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s license required.
  • Proof of U.S. residency required.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Must be experienced in basic purchasing/receiving procedures.
  • Certifications must be attained/maintained as assigned.
  • Candidate must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to perform shift work.
  • Work requires the ability to perform the following physical activities: walking, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, crawling, reaching, lifting, sitting, and squatting. Work may require walking, standing, sitting, and working in confined spaces or at high elevations for extended periods of time.
  • Warehouse, exterior and interior work environments, sometimes in inclement weather.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technical maintenance repair operations.
  • Prior Aerostat Operator experience of any size Aerostat.
  • Industry Specific Certification. 
  • Military equivalent experience.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in priority and to multi-task.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with high energy level
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
  • Sound judgment and strong organizational skills.
