Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking to hire an experienced Technical Writer to produce technical reports and documents supporting the development of aerial target systems, subsystems, and related equipment for the Threat Systems Management Office in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

  • Perform writing/editing and/or rewriting of technical reports and documents for approval of author.
  • Determine consistency and clarity of style within technical reports.
  • Works without direct daily supervision, but maintain regular contact with technical staff to clarify meaning, format, and style of their work.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or similar writing related discipline.
  • Understanding of technical materials related to military hardware, preferably aerial targets.
  • 3+ years of technical writing experience, preferably related to military system development.
  • Active DOD Secret or higher clearance.#qinetiqclearedjob
