Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking to hire a Hardware/Software Technician to support research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement of aerial target systems, subsystems, and related equipment for the Threat Systems Management Office in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to engineers working in such areas as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting functions on hardware and software equipment and systems.
  • Conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work.
  • Provide technical support to the Threat Systems Management Office. This support shall include any area of administrative, general, logistical or engineering to support and assist in the program management of aerial target programs.  

Required Qualifications

  • 2 year vocational technician traning or equivalent hands on work experience.
  • 3+ years additional hands on work experience supporting engineers in electronic systems development.
  • Active DOD Secret or higher clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of military standards in system and subsystem development.
  • Knowledge of aerial target systems.
